A full hour gives time to work each area of the face muscle by muscle, then finish with skincare.
One 60-minute microcurrent facial including cleanse, conductive gel, the full lifting sequence and hydration.
Great for mild sagging, puffiness and a tired look, and for anyone preparing for photos or an event. It is not for pregnancy or for anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device.
An affordable, needle-free way to look more rested.
At $115, microcurrent is the lowest-priced facial on our menu, which makes a regular series realistic.
You can go straight back to work, dinner or an evening event, since there is no redness or peeling to hide.
We explain what microcurrent can and cannot do: it gives a subtle, temporary lift that builds with consistency, not a surgical result.

What happens during the hour
We confirm you are not pregnant and have no pacemaker, implanted electronic device, epilepsy or metal implants in the face, then cleanse away oil that would block the current.
A layer of gel is applied so the current can travel smoothly between the probes and your skin.
Your esthetician moves the probes along the muscles of the jaw, cheeks, forehead and brows, often holding and lifting in specific spots. Most people feel a light tingle, and a few notice a faint metallic taste, which is normal.
After the gel is removed, serums and moisturizer go on. When one side is treated before the other, the halfway point is a good moment to compare them in the mirror.
How microcurrent compares with our firming treatments.
Muscle toning for an immediate lifted look that fades over a few days and builds with a series. The easiest place to start.
Radiofrequency gently warms the deeper layers of skin to support firmness over time. See RF skin tightening for the full menu, including neck and décolleté.
Nanoneedling for surface texture and fine lines. The Skin Rejuvenation Facial pairs well with microcurrent, which works on muscle tone instead.
Clearing dead skin and peach fuzz on a separate visit leaves a smoother surface, so your lifted contours catch the light.
Lifted brows and curled lashes open up the eye area, a natural companion to a lifting facial.
Before an event, book makeup right after your microcurrent session so it goes on over freshly toned, hydrated skin.

Why microcurrent works so well before season events
From November to April, Boca Raton’s calendar fills with galas, charity luncheons, club dinners and visiting family. Because microcurrent leaves no redness, you can book it the morning of an event and walk into the evening looking more rested. Between events, a monthly session helps keep that lifted look going through the busy season.
Treatments that complement microcurrent
Microcurrent is one of several anti-aging treatments at Skin Lounge and sits on our full facials menu. For firmness beneath the surface, pair it with RF skin tightening, and frame the result with our brow services.
Microcurrent can give a visible, subtle lift, especially around the jaw, cheeks and brows, and many people see a difference after one session. On its own the effect is temporary, and it builds with regular treatments. It will not match a surgical facelift, and we are upfront about that.
After a single session, the lifted look usually lasts a few days. With an initial series, results tend to hold longer, and a maintenance visit every few weeks helps keep them. Consistency matters more than any one appointment.
Industry guidance often suggests a starting series of about 4 to 12 sessions, closer together at first, with more sessions for more mature skin. After that, maintenance is commonly every 4 to 8 weeks. We will suggest a plan that fits your age, skin and budget.
Microcurrent is not recommended if you are pregnant or have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, epilepsy, active cancer, a history of blood clots, or metal plates or pins in the face. If you have any medical condition, check with your doctor before booking.
Most people find it comfortable. You may feel a light tingling, a slight pull as the muscles are worked, or a faint metallic taste, especially near dental fillings. Tell your esthetician if anything feels too strong so the setting can be adjusted.
Many providers suggest waiting about 2 weeks after injectables before microcurrent in the treated area. Share the dates of any injections when you book, and ask your injector if you are unsure.
At-home devices can help with maintenance, but results depend on daily consistency and your own technique. A professional session is carried out by a licensed esthetician who adjusts settings and works the face muscle by muscle. Some clients use a home device between visits.
Yes. There is no redness or sensitivity to wait out, so you can apply makeup straight away, which makes microcurrent a practical choice on the day of an event.
Microcurrent works on facial muscles with a very low current for a toned, lifted look. Radiofrequency uses gentle heat to target firmness in the skin itself. They address different layers, so they are often combined in one plan; our RF page has the details.
There is no set age. Many people begin in their 30s as a preventive habit, and clients in their 40s, 50s and beyond use it to soften the look of sagging and puffiness. The looser the skin, the more sessions it usually takes to see a lasting change.
