Book now for appointments this week
One hour covers nail-by-nail prep on all ten fingers plus your polish application.
Includes dry e-file cuticle work, shaping and a regular polish finish in the shade you pick.
Great for clients who like switching shades often, remove polish themselves, or would rather skip gel and the curing lamp.
This is not merely a polish change; it is a restorative architectural treatment for the nail plate, yielding a high-gloss finish that Boca’s professional refuse to compromise on.
“The same precise prep as a gel appointment, finished with polish you control.
You get the detailed dry cuticle work normally reserved for gel, so even a classic polish sits close to the nail base and grows out neatly.
Regular polish air-dries and comes off with ordinary remover at home, with no filing or acetone wraps when you want a new color.
The whole hour is booked for you, which is enough time for careful shaping, cuticle work on every finger and smooth, even coats.

What to expect, step by step
We start with dry hands and nails. Your technician files each nail to the length and shape you want, whether that is a short square or a soft oval.
Small bits lift the dead cuticle from the nail plate and tidy the side walls and any hangnails. The living skin at the base of the nail is left alone, and nothing is soaked, so each nail stays at its true size.
Once the nail surface is clean, regular polish goes on in thin, even coats, worked close to the cuticle line for a sharp edge.
Regular polish feels dry to the touch fairly soon but stays soft underneath for a few hours. We finish with simple tips: easy on your hands for the rest of the day, gloves for dishes, and cuticle oil between visits.
How the regular polish manicure compares to its closest siblings.
One hour. Best if you like changing colors, remove polish yourself, or want a fresh manicure for an event without committing to gel. Expect about 5 to 7 days before the tips start to wear.
The same dry prep in the same hour, finished bare. See the no-polish manicure if you want clean nails with no color at all.
About 1 hour 45 minutes, with color set under a lamp so you leave fully dry. The gel polish manicure is the better pick for 2 to 3 weeks of wear.
Book it right after your manicure for matching toes. Together the two take about 2 hours 30 minutes.
A 10-minute wax with one of our licensed estheticians that slips easily into the same visit.
Thirty minutes of brow shaping and tint, a quick way to look fully put together along with fresh nails.

A practical manicure for Boca Raton routines
Boca Raton life means sunscreen, pool days and plenty of hand washing, and some weeks call for a bold coral while others want a soft neutral. A regular polish manicure lets you switch without a removal appointment. Because the cuticle area was prepped dry and precisely, the base of each nail still looks tidy when you repaint at home. It is also a sensible choice while you take a break from gel.

A regular salon manicure usually starts with a soak and uses clippers and a pusher on softened cuticles. An e-file manicure is done dry, with an electric file and fine bits that remove dead tissue in small, controlled passes. The result is a cleaner line at the base of the nail and less ragged skin around it.
Regular polish on fingernails typically starts to show wear within 5 to 7 days, depending on how much you use your hands. Dry prep helps polish grip a nail that is not swollen with water, and the neat cuticle area keeps the manicure looking tidy even as the tips fade.
Nails absorb water during a soak and swell slightly. When they dry and shrink back, polish on top can crack or lift sooner. Working dry also lets your technician see exactly where dead cuticle ends and living skin begins.
Yes, and that is one of the main reasons to choose regular polish. A standard remover and a cotton pad take it off, so you can switch colors at home without filing or foil wraps.
It may feel dry within the first half hour, but the layers underneath stay soft for a few hours. Avoid hot showers, tight gloves and digging through bags right after your appointment to prevent dents and smudges.
Choose regular polish if you change colors often, prefer to skip the curing lamp, or only need the manicure to look fresh for about a week. Choose gel if you want 2 to 3 weeks of chip-resistant wear and are happy to come back for removal. Our gel polish manicure page covers that option in detail.
No. The bits work on the dead, dry cuticle stuck to the nail plate and on rough edges along the sides. The living skin at the base of the nail, which helps seal the nail from germs, stays in place.
Every 2 to 3 weeks keeps the cuticle area neat for most people. Since regular polish wears sooner than that, many clients repaint or remove it at home between visits.
Yes. Short nails often benefit most, because clearing the dead cuticle reveals more of the nail plate and makes each nail look tidier. Your technician will shape what you have and avoid any sore or broken skin.
Come with clean hands and your nails as they are. If you are wearing gel or acrylic from another salon, tell us when you book so we can advise you before your visit. A photo helps if you have a particular shade or shape in mind.
