What to expect, step by step
Your technician checks the nail edges and cuticles and asks how short you like them. If you are coming off gel, we note any thin or peeling spots so shaping stays gentle.
Each nail is filed to an even length and a shape that suits your hands. Corners are smoothed so they do not catch on sweaters or pockets.
The e-file clears dead cuticle off the nail plate and rough skin along the sides, and loose hangnails are trimmed. Living skin at the nail base is not cut.
Nails are wiped clean and left without color. We share a few home habits, like cuticle oil at night and gloves for cleaning, to keep the look going between visits.

Why bare nails work so well here
Between tennis, boating on the Intracoastal and long days at the office, plenty of Boca Raton hands are too busy for chipped polish. Bare nails that are shaped and cleanly prepped look sharp in a handshake and hold up to sand, saltwater and gardening with nothing to peel. It is also a smart reset after a summer of gel, giving you a few weeks to see your natural nails before your next color.

Pair bare hands with a no-polish pedicure for a matching, low-maintenance look, or compare every finish on the manicure and pedicure menu. For a full grooming visit, a customized facial can be booked before or after your nails.
On our menu, "nude" means no polish. Your technician shapes the nails and does full dry e-file cuticle work, then leaves them bare. It costs $60 and takes about an hour.
Book the e-file manicure with regular polish ($65) or the gel polish manicure ($80) and pick a sheer or skin-tone shade. The no-polish manicure does not include any color.
Yes, it is the manicure most men choose. It gives short, even nails and neat cuticles without any shine or color, so hands look cared for rather than done.
Nail plates are made of dead keratin, so they do not need air to stay healthy. Still, some people like a few bare weeks after repeated gel sets to let thin or peeling layers grow out, and a no-polish manicure keeps the cuticles tidy while you wait.
Usually about 2 to 3 weeks, until regrowth and new cuticle soften the crisp line at the base of the nail. With no polish to chip, growth is the only thing that changes the look.
They will look clean and even, but not glossy the way a polished nail does. If shine matters to you, you can choose a clear polish with the regular polish manicure.
Most of any e-file manicure is prep. Dead cuticle is removed nail by nail in small passes, and the sides and hangnails are cleaned up carefully. Skipping color saves only the polish step, which is why the price sits just below the regular polish version.
It will not change how fast nails grow. What it can do is keep edges smooth and hangnails trimmed, so nails are less likely to snag and tear while they grow. For extra protection over weak nails, look at the hard gel manicure.
Peeling from dryness or gel removal is common, and gentle shaping helps it grow out neatly. Discoloration, lifting or pain can have medical causes, so have those checked by your doctor before booking.
Yes. Since there is nothing to dry, it is one of the easiest services to fit in on the day itself. Weekday appointments run until 7 pm Monday through Thursday.
