Ten minutes from start to finish, short enough to book on a lunch break or right before another service.
Covers the area above the lip from corner to corner, finished with a post-wax cooling gel.
Ideal if you are tired of bleaching, shaving or tweezing a faint mustache, or you want to see how your skin handles waxing before trying a larger area.
The lip is a small area, but it is one of the most sensitive spots on the face.
Our wax is formulated for sensitive skin and applied warm rather than hot, which matters on the thin skin above the lip.
Every upper lip wax ends with a post-wax cooling gel that calms the area, so you can head back to work looking composed.
The wax is designed to grab even soft peach fuzz, and your esthetician works carefully along the lip line so the corners are not missed.

Ten minutes, four simple steps
We confirm you have not used retinol or a prescription retinoid on the lip in the past week and that the skin is not sunburned or chapped. First-timers get a short explanation of what they will feel.
Lip balm, lipstick and any oil are wiped away, because residue keeps the wax from gripping fine hair.
The lip is waxed in small sections, often left side then right. Your esthetician holds the skin taut and removes the wax in one quick motion, which keeps the sting brief.
A post-wax cooling gel goes on right away. Light pinkness usually fades within an hour or so, and most clients go straight back to their day.
Compare the lip wax with the two services clients most often pair it with or choose instead.
Best when the only hair that bothers you is above the lip. Ten minutes with a cooling gel finish, and the simplest way to try waxing for the first time.
Choose this if you also tweeze stray chin hairs. It adds the chin in the same visit and takes about 20 minutes. Learn about lip and chin waxing.
If brows are your next priority, this 30-minute service maps, shapes and tints them, and it is easy to book right after your lip wax. See brow design and tinting.
Shaped brows and darker lashes together, so your face looks finished even on no-makeup days. Allow 45 minutes.
Curls your own lashes upward and tints them in one hour-long visit, a good match if you like a low-maintenance routine.

Quick, discreet and easy to repeat
Upper lip hair shows most in bright Florida daylight, whether you are at lunch near Mizner Park or on a video call by the window. A ten-minute wax fits between errands, and because lip hair cycles quickly, many clients simply rebook every 3 to 4 weeks. Heading to the beach? Wax at least two days before so the skin is not meeting strong sun while it is still sensitive.
Easy additions to a quick lip wax
An upper lip wax is part of our facial waxing menu, and it pairs naturally with a shape from our brow services while you are already in the chair. If what you notice is soft, light fuzz across the whole face rather than just the lip, ask about a dermaplaning facial, booked on a separate day.
Upper Lip Waxing at Skin Lounge is $15 and takes about 10 minutes, including a post-wax cooling gel. If you want the chin done in the same visit, Upper Lip and Chin Waxing is $25.
You will feel a quick sting as the wax comes off, and the skin above the lip is more sensitive than most areas. It lasts a second or two per section. Low-temperature wax, taut-skin technique and the cooling gel keep it manageable, and it often feels easier by the second or third visit.
Usually 2 to 4 weeks. Lip hair grows on a short cycle, so it tends to return sooner than hair on other parts of the face. Staying on a regular schedule helps you catch more hairs at the same stage.
A little pinkness is normal and often fades within an hour, sometimes longer on very fair or reactive skin. Keep your hands off the area and avoid heat and direct sun for the rest of the day so the skin settles.
Small bumps appear when freshly emptied follicles get irritated or clogged, often from touching, heavy lip products or sweat. Keep the area clean, skip makeup and exfoliants for 24 to 48 hours, and let us know if bumps come back after every wax.
Stop retinol, tretinoin or other retinoids on the lip area about 5 to 7 days before waxing, because they thin the surface layer and the wax can lift skin. If you take isotretinoin, do not wax during treatment or for six months after, per American Academy of Dermatology guidance.
Waxing pulls hair from the root, so smoothness lasts weeks instead of days. Shaving cuts hair at the surface and leaves a blunt tip that can feel stubbly as it grows. Many people also prefer waxing because it avoids a shadow above the lip between shaves.
Put the razor and tweezers away for roughly two weeks beforehand, and come with a clean face. Your first wax may feel stronger and fade slightly sooner than later ones, which is normal. The upper lip is a good first wax because it is quick and shows you how your skin reacts.
It is better to wait until the next day. Lipstick, liner and heavy balm can clog freshly waxed follicles and sting. If you have plans that evening, book your wax at least a day ahead, or two to three days ahead for a big event.
