Cheeks, sideburns, lip and chin all grow differently. Your esthetician adjusts direction and section size for each zone instead of treating the face as one surface.
If your skin or goal suits a dermaplaning facial or a smaller wax better, we will say so, since both are on our menu.
How we work through the face
You and your esthetician decide exactly which areas to include, such as the lip, chin, jawline, cheeks, sideburns and forehead, and review retinoid use, recent peels and sun exposure.
The whole face is cleansed and dried, removing sunscreen and makeup so the wax adheres evenly to both fine fuzz and coarser hair.
Each area is waxed in small sections, following the direction the hair grows. Taking one zone at a time gives the skin a moment between passes.
We finish with a soothing step for the entire face and go over aftercare: no makeup until tomorrow, no heat or sun for 48 hours, and SPF every day after.

Full Face Waxing at Skin Lounge is $50 for about 30 minutes. It is the simplest way to cover several areas in one visit, compared with $25 for the upper lip and chin alone.
Yes. The wax is designed to grip fine, light hair as well as darker hair, and it removes it from the root, so smoothness lasts longer than surface methods. Very light fuzz still needs to be about 1/8 inch long for the wax to hold it.
Choose waxing if your goal is longer-lasting hair removal at $50. Choose the $145 Dermaplaning Facial if you also want exfoliation and a full facial, or if your skin is too reactive to wax. Do not book both on the same day.
Some people see small bumps the first time, especially on the cheeks and chin, as follicles react. Keep the face clean, skip makeup until the next day and avoid heavy oils. If you are prone to breakouts, tell your esthetician so the plan fits your skin.
Book your last wax 3 to 5 days before the wedding or event. If this will be your first full face wax, do a trial about a month ahead so you know how your skin responds, then repeat it that final week.
Our wax is made for sensitive skin, but waxing several areas at once asks more of reactive skin. If you have rosacea, eczema or very reactive skin, check with your doctor first and consider trying a smaller area, like the upper lip, before a full face.
Most clients stay smooth for 3 to 5 weeks. Different zones regrow at different speeds, so you may notice the lip or chin before the cheeks. Rebooking around the four-week mark keeps everything on a similar cycle.
Yes, once the skin settles. Without fine hair on the surface, foundation and powder are less likely to cling or look textured. Wait until the next day to apply makeup, and use a light, non-comedogenic base for the first few days.
Wait at least 48 hours. Freshly waxed skin is more prone to sunburn and dark marks, and salt water, sand and sweat can irritate open follicles. After that, apply SPF 30 or higher every morning, especially under the South Florida sun.
Spend a cool hour with the current exhibitions while your skin settles, far from sun and sweat. About 2.5 km.
Come back in the evening for dinner once the heat of the day has passed, with a bare, freshly cleansed face. About 2.5 km.
