About 20 minutes, which leaves time to work through coarser chin hairs carefully without rushing.
Includes waxing of both the upper lip and chin, plus a botanical mist and hydrating serum to finish.
Made for anyone who keeps tweezers in the car or checks their chin in the rearview mirror. It suits clients whose lip hair is fine but whose chin hairs are darker, coarser or quick to return.
Chin hair behaves differently from lip hair, and we treat it that way.
Lip and chin are done together in about 20 minutes, so you are not juggling two separate regrowth schedules.
Chin hairs sit deeper than lip fuzz. Your esthetician works in small sections along the chin and jaw to help stubborn hairs release cleanly.
We close with a calming botanical mist and a hydrating serum, so the skin feels comfortable instead of tight.

What happens during your 20 minutes
Your esthetician looks at where hair grows on your chin and jawline, since chin hair often grows in several directions, and asks about retinoids, peels and recent sun.
Lip and chin are cleansed to remove oil, sunscreen and makeup so the wax can hold both fine and coarse hair.
The lip is waxed first, then the chin in smaller sections that follow each patch of growth. Working with the growth direction helps reduce breakage and ingrown hairs.
A calming botanical mist and hydrating serum finish the service, and you get tips for keeping the chin clear of ingrown hairs over the following weeks.
How this combo compares with the smaller and larger options.
Enough if your chin is clear and only lip hair bothers you. A quick 10 minutes. Compare the lip-only wax.
The middle option: the two areas where hair is most visible in conversation and photos, done together in about 20 minutes.
Worth considering if you also notice hair along the jaw, cheeks, sideburns or forehead. It takes about 30 minutes. Explore the full face wax.
Keeps the upper face in balance with your newly smooth chin: brows mapped to your features, shaped and tinted in 30 minutes.
For fuller, brushed-up brows, lamination and wax shaping take about 45 minutes and pair well with a lip and chin visit.

For bright light, close conversations and camera phones
Boca Raton life happens in bright light: brunch on a sunny patio, family photos at Spanish River Park, catch-ups at Mizner Park. That is exactly when a coarse chin hair shows up. A lip and chin wax every 3 to 5 weeks keeps you from reaching for tweezers, and booking a couple of days before sunny plans gives the skin time to settle before it meets the Florida sun.
Round out a smoother lower face
This service sits in our facial waxing menu between the lip-only wax and the full face. Many clients schedule it back to back with a visit from our brow services menu. If you also notice soft fuzz on your cheeks and want makeup to go on more smoothly, a dermaplaning facial on another day is a good complement.
Upper Lip and Chin Waxing at Skin Lounge is $25 for about 20 minutes, including a botanical mist and hydrating serum. The lip alone is $15, and Full Face Waxing is $50 if you want more areas covered.
Tweezing works for one or two strays, but waxing clears the fine and coarse hairs across the chin in a few passes. Frequent tweezing can irritate follicles and lead to ingrown hairs. If you tweeze between visits, stop about two weeks before your wax so the hairs are long enough to grab.
Chin hair is usually coarser and can grow on a different cycle than lip hair, so a few strays may appear before the rest. Hormonal shifts, including those around menopause, can also make chin hair more noticeable. Waxing every 3 to 5 weeks keeps it manageable.
See your doctor if coarse hair appears suddenly or spreads over a short time, or if it comes with irregular periods, new acne or other changes. Dermatology guidance says that pattern is worth checking for a hormonal cause. Waxing can still be part of your routine alongside medical care.
Keep the area clean and hands off for the first two days. After 48 hours, gentle exfoliation a couple of times a week helps keep regrowing hairs from getting trapped. Do not pick at a bump; if one looks inflamed or does not clear, show your esthetician at your next visit.
Some clients feel the chin a bit more because the hairs are thicker and rooted deeper, while others find the lip more sensitive. Either way the sting lasts about a second, and the serum finish helps the skin feel calm quickly.
Expect about 3 to 5 weeks of smoothness. The lip may show fine regrowth a little sooner, and a coarse chin stray can pop up in between. On a consistent schedule, many clients find regrowth becomes sparser.
Give it 24 to 48 hours. Sweat and heat can irritate open follicles and cause bumps, so skip hot yoga, the sauna and long outdoor runs in the Boca heat until the skin has calmed. A gentle indoor walk is fine.
Wax should not go over active breakouts or broken skin, because it can irritate them further. Your esthetician can work around a small spot or suggest a new date. For ongoing acne, see a doctor for medical advice, and look at our acne treatment options for professional skin care.
