From warming to cooling in four steps
We cleanse and assess your skin, and confirm you are not pregnant, not using prescription retinoids and have had no peels, laser or needling in the past 2 weeks.
The iS Clinical Intensive Resurfacing Masque, made with 18% glycolic acid, retinol and vitamin B3, goes on first. Expect a warm, tingling sensation as it loosens dead skin cells and wakes up a dull complexion.
Next, a cooling masque of hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and green tea extract calms the warmth, floods the skin with moisture and helps redness settle.
A high-dose vitamin C serum and broad-spectrum sunscreen finish the facial, leaving skin smooth, bright and ready for makeup the next day.

Fire & Ice smooths and brightens the surface without the peeling of a stronger peel, so skin looks fresh in close-ups. Book it 3 to 7 days before the big day, after at least one trial session.

It resurfaces dull skin, helps smooth texture and the look of fine lines, and leaves an immediate glow. The warming masque exfoliates while the cooling masque hydrates and calms, so you get visible brightness with little to no downtime.
You will feel warmth and tingling from the resurfacing masque, which some describe as a mild prickle. It should never feel like burning, and the cooling masque quickly soothes it. Speak up if the warmth feels too strong.
Most people do not see visible peeling. You may notice slight pinkness or light flaking for a day or two, particularly around the nose and mouth. Moisturize well and resist the urge to pick.
Schedule the final treatment 3 to 7 days before the wedding. If you have never had it, do a trial about a month earlier so you know how your skin responds.
We do not recommend it during pregnancy because the resurfacing masque contains retinol, and retinoids are generally avoided while pregnant or breastfeeding. For expecting clients we offer the Mother-to-Be Glow Ritual instead; please check with your OB before any treatment.

Once a month is a common rhythm for ongoing glow and texture. Before an event, a single well-timed session is often enough. Avoid booking it within 2 weeks of a peel, laser or needling treatment.
It is a resurfacing facial rather than a traditional peel. The glycolic acid masque exfoliates like a light peel, but it is removed and followed by a cooling masque, so there is far less peeling and downtime. For deeper resurfacing, compare our chemical peels.
It is not a fit if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a sunburn, open wounds, cold sores or eczema on the face, or use prescription-strength acne medication. Tell us about recent isotretinoin, waxing, laser or injectables too, since timing matters.
It depends on how sensitive. Normal to combination skin usually tolerates it well, but very reactive or rosacea-prone skin may find the glycolic masque too warming. In that case, a calmer facial like Circadia Oxygen RX may suit you better; ask us at your consultation.
