The exfoliation itself is quick; the rest of the hour covers prep, hydration and aftercare advice.
One 60-minute session with cleansing, crystal exfoliation, hydration and SPF.
A good match for rough patches, dullness, clogged-looking pores and the uneven surface that years of sun leave behind. Not recommended during a rosacea flare or within 6 months of isotretinoin.
Straightforward resurfacing, done carefully.
Our machine sprays fine crystals across the skin and draws them back up with the loosened dead cells, a classic, well-established technique.
Your esthetician adjusts the strength for thinner, drier areas versus oilier zones like the nose and chin.
We plan sessions a few weeks apart and adjust the schedule based on how your skin responds.

From cleanse to SPF in about an hour
We check for sunburn, active breakouts, cold sores and recent isotretinoin use, then remove all oil and makeup so the crystals work evenly.
A handpiece passes over the face in overlapping strokes, spraying fine crystals and vacuuming them back up along with dead skin. It feels like a gritty, slightly scratchy massage with light suction.
Any remaining crystals are wiped away and hydrating products are applied to comfort the freshly exfoliated skin.
We finish with sunscreen and go over aftercare: gentle cleanser, moisturizer, daily SPF 30 or higher and a short pause on retinoids and acids.
Three exfoliating facials from $145 to $175, compared.
Crystal exfoliation for texture and dullness. Best for thicker or oily skin and sun-worn surfaces that need a thorough buff.
Same price, different tool: a blade removes dead skin and peach fuzz. The dermaplaning facial suits dry or sensitive skin and anyone chasing flawless makeup.
Diamond exfoliation plus suction and serum infusion. Choose the HydroDiamond Facial if your skin also needs hydration and a pore cleanse.
On a separate visit, a gentle lactic peel can alternate with microdermabrasion in a resurfacing plan.
A Circadia oxygen treatment to book between sessions when your skin wants calm and hydration rather than more exfoliation.
Tinted brows and lashes add definition without mascara while your skin recovers.

Smooth the rough, dull layer that sun and salt air leave behind
Between beach mornings at Spanish River, afternoons on the boat and year-round sun, Boca Raton skin tends to build a thick, rough outer layer that makes makeup cling and moisturizer sit on top. Microdermabrasion clears that layer so skin feels smoother. Fall and winter are a smart time for a series, when the sun is gentler and daily SPF is easier to keep up.
Related treatments for texture and tone
Microdermabrasion is part of our facials menu. For a lighter-touch smoothing option, try the dermaplaning facial, and for sun spots and uneven tone, add a peel from our hyperpigmentation treatment options on a separate visit.
Microdermabrasion uses crystals and suction and suits thicker, oilier or sun-worn skin with rough texture. Dermaplaning uses a blade and also removes peach fuzz, which makes it kinder to dry or sensitive skin and ideal before makeup. Both cost $145 here, and they can be alternated.
It should not. Most people describe a scratchy, sandpaper-like feeling with light suction, a bit stronger over the nose and forehead. We turn the intensity down if an area feels too sensitive.
One session leaves skin smoother and brighter right away. For texture, dullness or the look of shallow acne marks, a series of several sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart is common, followed by occasional maintenance.
Very little. Skin may look pink and feel slightly tight or dry for a few hours, occasionally until the next day. You can go back to work, but avoid sun, hot showers, saunas and heavy workouts for about 48 hours.
It can soften the look of shallow, surface-level marks and uneven texture over a series. Deep or pitted scars sit below the reach of microdermabrasion, and a dermatologist can advise on medical options for those.
Skip it if you have taken isotretinoin in the last 6 months, or have an active rosacea flare, eczema, psoriasis, cold sores, sunburn or open, inflamed breakouts. Fragile, easily flushed skin is usually better suited to a gentler option such as the HydroDiamond Facial.
For about a week, skip retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs, and keep your face out of strong sun. Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day, ideally a mineral formula. Moisturize twice a day and hold off on facial waxing for at least a few days.
It is generally considered suitable for many skin tones because it uses no heat or light. Darker skin can be more prone to temporary dark marks after irritation, so we keep the intensity moderate and prioritize sun protection afterward.
Pregnancy makes skin more reactive and more prone to dark patches, so please talk to your OB first. The Mother-to-Be Glow Ritual is designed for this stage and uses a gentle enzyme exfoliation instead.
By clearing dead cells and oil from the surface, it can make pores look cleaner and less obvious. It does not change their actual size, and very congested pores may need extractions as well.
